RP (Qualifying) & Intern Therapist

Life can pose many challenges, for this reason, I work with clients collaboratively to find ways to cope, overcome, and heal. Through compassion and non-judgement, I work with adults, teens, and couples, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, immigration, ADHD, parenting of typical and atypical children, dealing with a diagnosis, grief and loss, interpersonal conflict, and life transitions.

I take an integrative and eclectic approach to my practice, working with you to find tools that will support you the most. Some of the approaches integrated into my work are Adlerian, Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Trauma-Informed, and Solution-Focused Therapy, with a particular focus on Emotionally Focused Therapy and Internal Family Systems.

I am particularly concerned with creating a culturally and neurodiverse-sensitive space where clients can feel comfortable sharing their experiences and in which all emotions and views are welcomed, heard, and validated.

My Story

I am a Brazilian immigrant who relocated to Canada over 5 years ago. I have had persistent challenges associated with ADHD throughout my life, particularly during the process of moving into adulthood and assuming the responsibilities of motherhood. I am an atypical mother to an exceptional young boy who possesses a rare genetic condition. I perceive therapy as a joint endeavour in which the client and therapist learn and grow together.
