About

I believe that therapy is most effective when clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centred, with a focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their experiences, build resilience, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. I strive to tailor therapy to each client's unique needs, empowering them to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and self-awareness. I work

with adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, autism, trauma, OCD, grief, self-esteem challenges, relationship and family conflict, divorce, parenting, infertility, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, behavioural concerns, substance use and addictions, eating disorders, and life transitions. I also support individuals within the LGBTQ+ community and those navigating cultural identity, racial identity, and other diverse lived experiences.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and draws from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and culturally responsive care. Together, we will build on your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward the goals that matter most to you in a way that feels authentic and meaningful.

My Story

Hi, I’m Melissa! I’m an intern therapist from Newfoundland providing virtual therapy. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable showing up as your authentic self and exploring what you’re going through at your own pace.

I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, anger, identity and LGBTQ2+ experiences, as well as a variety of emotional and life challenges. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I enjoy working alongside clients to explore their feelings, experiences, and the goals that are meaningful to them.

I’m passionate about helping people grow and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. My hope is that our time together provides a supportive space where you can build coping skills, recognize your strengths, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.
