My Story
I believe that lived experience and diversity are essential in the world of therapy. I know what it’s like to be on the other side, to feel afraid to start therapy, yet know that support and strategies are needed. I come from a family of immigrants and grew up in a multiracial, multi-faith home. I have lived experience with anxiety, narcissistic abuse, and chronic pain. I began seeking therapy as a teenager, and it was transformative. It offered me a safe space to process, feel seen, and develop tools that helped me navigate life’s challenges.

What I found most transformative in my own healing journey was the therapeutic relationship itself. Having someone who could truly listen, hold space, and offer non-judgmental support gave me the foundation to begin building self-compassion and creating meaningful change. I believe that this relationship is the first and most important step in the therapeutic process, and it’s something I deeply value in the work I do with clients.

That experience sparked a deep passion in me for supporting others. Therapy showed me that mental health does not have to carry shame or stigma, and that we are never truly alone in our experiences. It inspired my goal to create inclusive, affirming spaces where people feel safe, supported, and recognized. I believe mental health is just as important as physical health.

My journey led me to pursue education in both mental health and social justice, as I strongly believe the two are interconnected. I am especially passionate about trauma-informed therapy and approaches that acknowledge the mind-body connection. My practice is grounded in somatic and processing-based modalities, such as EMDR, which help individuals safely explore and heal from trauma.
Over the years, I have worked in mental health settings within universities and with youth, always bringing with me a commitment to equity, compassion, and accessibility. These experiences, both personal and professional, shaped the foundation of this practice. I understand how vulnerable and overwhelming starting therapy can be. My hope is to create a space that feels accessible, gentle, and rooted in understanding, so that people from all walks of life feel supported on their path to healing.
